Welcome to the Alien Bug Spaceship Page

After I had created my range of 6mm Alien Bugs, I turned to the idea of doing space ships in the same style. Unfortunately when I made these I didn't take any pictures of the greens as I was making them. All I have are painted examples of the production miniatures.

In keeping with the 6mm Alien Bug style I created a shell like body but instead of a soft slug like foot (no point in space) I made a crescent style wing membrane for the shell to sit on. I then added weapon turrets to the wing. Pic 1 shows a Destroyer class ship.

I carried on the same style for all the ships. Pic 2 shows the Frigate class.

For the larger ships I went for an unusual stacking approach. Pic 3 shows the largest ship a Dreadnought class. The top tier is actually the same piece as used for the Cruiser class.

Lastly I have a picture of the Carrier class. Using some of the same parts as the Dreadnought I made fighter launch bays to sit on the wing.
